How do I get an Azerbaijan visa?

What is an Azerbaijan visa?

An Azerbaijan visa is a travel document that is usually produced as an electronic visa and is electronically linked to your passport visa a database. It is required before you depart to Azerbaijan and generally is suggested to apply at least a month prior to your trip.

What types of Azerbaijan visas are there?

An Algeria visa can be used for several types of travel.

Tourist Evisas are single entry evisas and allow for a stay of 30 days and are valid for 90 days.  You'll generally need to simply provide a passport copy for your visa.

Business Evisas are also valid for 30 days and are single entry.  You'll typically need to provide your passport information page copy and that's all that is needed.

Work Visas are required for those going to earn an income and work for a company in Azerbaijan.  These paper based visas require a passport, passport photos, itinerary, Employment Letter and Invitation letter generally.

Who is eligible for an Azerbaijan visa?

Generally most foreign nationals require a visa to Azerbaijan and a passport with 6 months of validity left.

These 11 countries DO NOT require a visa - Belarus, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Krygyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

These 16 countries can obtain a visa on arrival at an international airport.  Bahrain, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea and UAE, although obtaining an Evisa ahead of time might be a good idea.

All other countries can obtain an eVisa for tourist and business purposes.

How much does an Azerbaijan visa cost?

Once in Azerbaijan, how long can I visit?

Once you enter the country, you can stay for a maximum of 30 days per visit.  The visa is good for 90 days from issue.

The processing time for a visa is dependent on several factors and can change without notice at the consulate's discretion.
