Your visit to Portage County Clerk begins at the main entrance on the east side of the building, facing Church Street. The building’s architecture is typical of mid-century civic buildings, with a brick facade and large windows. Upon entering, you’ll be in a small lobby. To your right, you’ll find a reception desk; take a number for passport services from the dispenser located near the entrance. The passport application area is located immediately to the left of the reception desk, through a set of double doors. You’ll see three numbered windows where passport agents assist applicants. Please note that you will need to sit and wait for your number to be called, the seating area is fairly small holding about 12 people at a time. Appointments typically take between 20 and 25 minutes per applicant, depending on the complexity of the application. The facility is ADA-compliant, with accessible parking spaces, a ramp at the entrance, and accessible restrooms. The passport windows are also equipped with lowered counters to accommodate individuals using wheelchairs.
