Spain - Digital Nomad Visa - Service: Visa Requirements

Download, fully complete, print, and sign one copy of the Spain visa application form. 

PLEASE NOTE: the application form is attached as a sample as well.

Provide your SIGNED passport. Your passport must be signed on the appropriate line. (For US citizens the line is located on the page following your information page). The passport must be valid with an expiration date greater than six (6) months from the date of entry for the visa you are applying for. Passport must have sufficient blank pages (at least 2 pages) for any visa stamps. These pages must say VISAS at the top of the page.  

If your passport does not meet the requirements, we can assist with renewing a US Passport or obtain a new US Passport from us prior to obtaining the visa.

(Important Note:  Keep a copy of your passport biographical information page for your records)

You must provide a passport photo. This passport photo must match the requirements of a standard US passport photo. They must be taken at an official passport photo provider (pharmacy, Costco, post office).  You can upload a digitial photo here for us to process.

Photo Requirements:

- Your head must face the camera directly with full face in view.

- You must have a neutral facial expression or a natural smile, with both eyes open.

- Taken in clothing normally worn on a daily basis

- Taken in the last 6 months

- Use a plain white or off-white background

A copy of a letter from your employer on business letterhead, with contact details, stating that a leave of absence has been granted, purpose and duration of the trip, and that you will be returning to your current job. If you are self-employed, include a copy of your business license and tax return. For students, please submit an official letter from your school indicating that you are in good standing and that you are registered for the upcoming semester. If you are retired please submit proof of your retirement fund.

A Certificate of Employment should contain details about you and the company you are working for (e.g., your full name, company’s name, the position you cover within the company, date and place of birth, passport and ID details, salary, 

An original and one copy of a letter from your employer on business letterhead, with contact details, purpose and duration of the trip and that you will be returning to your current job.

If you are self-employed, include a copy of your business license and tax return.

If you are retired please submit proof of your retirement funds.

For Business owners: Company profile or Memorandum that states the company information.

A copy of Company Registration Certificate.

A business plan (pre-approved by one of the organizations the Spanish government deems suitable (e.g., ATA, UPTA, UATAE, CIAE, and OPA)

Proof of funds available to support yourself and dependents during your stay and enable you to leave Spain, such as a bank statement, pay stubs or proof of employment or proof of travelers checks.

A copy of hotel reservations or other lodgings for the duration of the trip. The applicant's name must be on the reservation.

Proof of international health insurance and specifically covering travel to Spain is required.

Enclose the documents from Section 1 (Gather Documents for your Spain  Visa) and a print out of your order confirmation in an Overnight Envelope (Fedex, UPS, etc).
