What is an Bahrain Evisa?

The Bahrain eVisa was introduced in 2014 as an e-visa travel document that is electronically linked to your passport. It's a mandatory document for approved entry into the country for most visitors. You can obtain in single and multiple entry depending up on your needs.

Who is eligible for an Bahrain Evisa?

Over 100 countries can apply for an Evisa.  All persons who wish to enter Bahrain need a visa except citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council (Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates).

How long is a Bahrain Evisa valid for?

The Bahrain evisa comes in single and multiple entry.  Single entry Bahrain visas are valid for 30 days and good for a stay of up to 14 days.  Multiple entry Bahrain evisas can be good for up to 1 year and a stay of 90 days.

How long does it take to get a Bahrain visa?

It takes approximately 5 days to process the eVisa.

An eVisa is an electronic visa so there will be no visa stamped in your passport prior to your arrival in Bahrain. Simply show your passport to the passport control officer on arrival in Bahrain and your visa will be issued.

Note that it is important for you to use the same passport for entry into Bahrain as you used to apply for the eVisa on-line.

How much does an Evisa to Bahrain cost?

Once in Bahrain, how long can I visit?

Once you enter the country, you can stay for a maximum of 14 days on a single entry.  Multiple entry visas that are issued you can stay for either 30 or 90 days.

What activities can I do in Bahrain with an Evisa?

An Australian ETA visa is only for tourist and business purposes. You are not allowed to take on paid employment with this visa. You can attend conferences, business meetings, and tourist activities. You can study with this visa as long as you don't stay in the country for more than 90 days at a time and leave within one year.

Do I need to print my e visa for Bahrain?

We strongly encourage you to print a copy of your Bahrain evisa for peace of mind.  That said, you don't need to print anything  as the the e visa is electronically attached to your passport so airline and immigration staff will see it when they scan your passport. Note that it is important for you to use the same passport for entry into Bahrain as you used to apply for the eVisa on-line.
