What is an Algeria visa?

An Algeria visa is a travel document that is a sticker placed in your passport. It is required before you depart to Algeria and generally is suggested to apply at least a month or two prior to your trip.

What types of Algeria visas are there?

An Algeria visa can be used for several types of travel.

Tourist visas are multiple entry permits and allow for a stay of 90 days and are valid up to 2 years.  You'll generally need to provide your passport, the Algeria visa application, photo, letter describing what you intent on doing and a travel itinerary.

Business visas are also valid for 90 days and are mulitple entry.  You'll typically need to provide your passport, the Afghanistan visa application, photos and a letter from your employer introducing yourself and describing your business activities along with an invitation letter from the sponsoring company in Algeria.

Who is eligible for an Algerian visa?

Generally most foreign nationals require a visa to Algeria and a passport with 6 months of validity left.  Nationals of Libya, Malaysia, Maldives, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Seychelles and Tunisia do not need a visa to enter Algeria.

The Algerian visa is typically valid for 2 years and good for a stay of up to 90 days.

Once in Algeria, how long can I visit?
