Sunday, December 27th, 2009The Department of State and Embassies closed will be closed on January 1, 2010. Additionally, most Embassies and the Passport Agency will have limited ability to assist on New Years Eve, December 31.

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009In observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday, the Department of State is closed on Thursday, Nov 26 and Friday, Nov 27. Most Embassies will be closed on these days as well. We will be closed on Thursday, Nov 26th but back open on Friday, Nov 27 at 9am EST.

South Korea No Longer Requires Visas for Stays up to 90 Days
Wednesday, March 18th, 2009Just announced by the South Korean Embassy in Washington, DC -
As of November 17, 2008, the Republic of Korea joins the U.S. Visa Waiver Program (VWP). As a result, on reciprocity, U.S. citizens can visit Korea without a visa for duration of up to 90 days of less if the purpose of the trip is for pleasure, business, attending a conference, or visiting families or relatives. (Extension of stay is not permitted)
